2020

Best of Houzz Award for Design

Awarded to Carick Home Improvements. This award was chosen by the millions of homeowners that comprise the Houzz community from among more than 2.5 million active home building, remodelling and design industry professionals.

Finalist for Best Condominium Renovation over $200k

Awarded by the Building Industry and Land Development Association for the 2020 Renovation and Customer Home Awards. Carick Home Improvements was recognized for exemplary work on condominium renovations.

2019

Nominee for Best Renovation (Addition) under $500k

Awarded by the Building Industry and Land Development Association for the 2019 Renovation and Customer Home Awards. Carick Home Improvements was recognized for their work on a large renovation project that included an addition.

Nominee for Best Renovation (no Addition) $150k – $250k

Awarded by the Building Industry and Land Development Association for the 2019 Renovation and Customer Home Awards. Carick Home Improvements was recognized for their work on a home renovation that included multiple components.

Nominee for Best Condo Suite Renovation

Awarded by the Building Industry and Land Development Association for the 2019 Renovation and Customer Home Awards. Carick Home Improvements was recognized for their work on a challenging condo suite renovation.

Nominee for Best Basement Renovation over $75k

Awarded by the Building Industry and Land Development Association for the 2019 Renovation and Customer Home Awards. Carick Home Improvements was recognized for a large basement renovation project.

2015

Best Renovation Between 75k to 150k

Awarded to Carick Home Improvements by the Building Industry and Land Development Association during the 2016 Renovation and Custom Home Awards, given out on the opening day of the National Home Show. Carick was recognized for using creative solutions and transforming this old and tired home to open contemporary design. This was accomplished by opening up the walls and adding extended height cabinets, pantries, custom built-ins and glass staircase.

2014

Best Condominium Renovation 2014

Awarded to Carick Home Improvements by the Building Industry and Land Development Association during the 2015 Renovation and Custom Home Awards, given out on the opening day of the National Home Show. This old and tired Condominium was transformed to an open airy contemporary space by opening up the walls in the kitchen and raising the ceilings. The clients now are able to enjoy their beautiful space and gorgeous views.

Local Business Donor Award

In recognition of their generous Support since 1998, Carick Home Improvements has been awarded “2014 Local Business Donor Award” by the North York Harvest Food bank. Carick has been fully involved in the Toronto Community giving back to the local residents and businesses for more than 40 years. Since 1998 Carick has supported the North York Harvest Food Bank and their initiative to help keep Toronto fed.

2013

Best Renovation Between $75,000 – $150,000

Renovation and Custom Home Awards, presented by the Building Industry and Land Development Association on the opening day of the National Home Show.

2011

Best Condominium Renovation

Awarded to Carick Home Improvements was by the Building Industry and Land Development Association during the 2011 Renovation and Custom Home Awards, given out on the opening day of the National Home Show. A new category this year gave Carick Home Improvements the chance to shine. The winners of the inaugural award for best condominium renovation worked under challenging conditions to update a galley kitchen from top to bottom with a French Country scheme, even incorporating a concealed entertainment system.

2008

Best Renovation Under $75,000

Awarded by BILD to Carick Home Improvements for transforming a typical 1960’s bungalow to an inviting open space for entertaining. The chopped up small rooms were converted into an open area consisting of a kitchen and living area. To create more light a skylight featuring a solar powered light block shade was installed.

2007

Best Renovation Under $75,000

Carick was also awarded best renovation under $75,000.00 for a chic use of space and transforming an existing floor plan to an open, contemporary look. This environmentally friendly project used LED pot lights, recycled hardwood floors and lighting fixtures, reusing interior doors and track system as well as environmentally friendly paint.

Best Renovation Between $150,000 – $300,000

Carick Home Improvements was awarded for their work on transforming a post war-time home to create a spacious floor plan, and updating living space. New life and style was given to the exterior of the home by adding arch dormers, a new portico with classic columns and a sophisticated front door.

2006

Best Renovation between $75,000 – $150,000

Awarded to Carick Home Improvements for an urban lifestyle renovation of a loft in downtown Toronto. An open area was converted into a large master bedroom with laundry facilities, an existing bedroom was revamped and a front hall closet was added with a mezzanine on top for additional storage space.

2003

Renovator of the Year

Carick Home Improvements was named Renovator Of The Year at the awards ceremony held by the Greater Toronto Home Builders’ Association. The coveted award goes to the company whose leadership helps raise the standard for all renovators and whose efforts improve the public image of renovators in the Greater Toronto Area. The award reflects how well the renovator performed as a professional, meeting the needs and expectations of the customers while contributing to the industry. An independent survey of clients for all renovator of the year finalists was a key component of the judging process. Testimonials highlighted the commitment Carick Home Improvements makes to meeting expectations. Client remarks ranged from “This is as good as I’ve seen,” to “Final price matched estimate right down to the dollar except for the few things we upgraded,” and, “So clean, so neat, so polite – it was just wonderful.”
